Inclusive movement and functional fitness in the DMV (DC/MD/VA) — queer-owned and body-led.

Welcome to BodiLab, where your unique movement story begins. Our classes blend functional movement, yoga principles, and mindful self-inquiry to help you feel stronger, steadier, and more connected to your body.

No “no pain, no gain.”
No shouting coaches or punishing routines.
Just movement that makes sense—for your body, your goals, your day.

Whether you're looking to expand your mobility or strength, navigating chronic pain, or simply looking to move with joy and ease, you're welcome here.

What to expect in a BodiLab Class

⚙️Functional Fitness Think walking, squatting, reaching, balancing—movements you use every day. We train for strength, mobility, and endurance that actually supports your life. 🧘 Yoga-Inspired Structure Classes often begin with grounding, include breathwork or body scans, and encourage inner awareness (svadhyaya) as much as outer effort. 🌿 Self-Paced and Adaptable You’ll be encouraged to listen to your body—not override it. Rest is welcome. Options, props, and variations are part of the plan. 💬 Supportive, Nonjudgmental Space No weight loss talk. No “before and after” photos. Just real humans in real bodies, moving together.

Who our classes are for

You might feel at home here if you’ve ever thought: "Is there such a thing as exercise without judging the body?" "I miss the mobility and ease of movement I used to have." “Wow. That teacher had no idea how to teach someone like me.” "I want to get to know my body on my terms." “Will I ever be at peace in my body?" Our students include people in bigger bodies, trans and nonbinary folks, people with chronic conditions or disabilities, beginners, returners, and those seeking a gentler, deeper relationship to movement.

Our approach is built on trust

We believe:

  • Your body is not a problem to fix.

  • Every person deserves a space to move that feels psychologically safe and physically supportive.

  • Our classes are designed to support autonomy, authenticity, connection, awareness, and compassion.

Our values include inclusivity, intuitive movement, accessibility, and science-informed design.
